Mixed Textiles - Part-time
Course outline
On this course you will cover a range of techniques including sewing, knitting, and crochet enabling you to work on several mini projects in each technique to learn a number of different skills.
Sewing skills covered will include applique techniques, making a simple bag with a lining and inserting a zip. Knitting skills will cover casting on and off, knitting and purling plus increasing and decreasing. Crochet techniques will cover chains, double, half treble and treble crochet, increasing and decreasing and making granny squares.

Assessment | Tutors will give regular verbal and written feedback. You will be required to complete an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) and encouraged to set your own personal targets as part of this course. |

Additional information | Sewing machines are provided but you will need to bring along your own basic sewing equipment including threads, scissors, tape, pins, and tailors chalk.
