Motor Vehicle

As the region’s most established automotive training provider, we offer a range of competitive courses that are perfect for any career within the motor industry.

Our reputation speaks for itself but to prove we are highly rated, our new and exciting courses have been approved by the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI).

You will get unbeatable commercial experience at Nottingham College. Our commercial garage will help you gain experience working on real customers’ vehicles and will develop your awareness of working in a commercial environment.

So, our students have the most current industry knowledge and hands-on-experience, our workshops are fully equipped with the latest diagnostic equipment and technology, used by motor industry professionals.

Studying with us will give you the skills that future employers look for, an understanding of different roles people play to make car dealerships a success and a sound ability to use the latest equipment to diagnose and repair vehicles.

Depending on which level you study at, you will learn about engines, chassis, electrical systems, suspension, gearboxes and everything you will need to become a vehicle technician. We also have multiple diagnostic systems in use and online simulation packages to enhance your learning experience, including having an awareness of the tools needed for every job.

On top of all this, at Nottingham College, you will have the chance to learn about customer service and the importance of good communication skills, working on your own and as part of a team.

Levels

We are proud to offer a range of qualifications, from Entry 3 through to courses at Levels 1, 2 and 3, which include the servicing and repair of electrical and hybrid vehicles. Our Level 4 master technician qualification allows students to further increase their professional knowledge.
