Course outline

This course is perfect if you are 18+ and already in the fitness/ gym industry - this is an intensive course ideal for fitness/gym instructors, or if you want to enter the fitness industry and work on a regular one-to-one basis with clients.

You’ll learn skills for advanced programming, instructing and coaching, including knowledge of nutrition, anatomy and physiology.

You can expect plenty of practical and theory lessons to build up your knowledge and skills

YMCA Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training (Gym-Based Exercise)

22 weeks

Level Level 3
Entry requirements

You’ll need 5 GCSEs at grade 9–4 (A*–C), including English Language and maths.

Progression

Choose to follow with a foundation degree in Sport Coaching at Nottingham College or you could seek employment within the sport/fitness industry.
