By studying this course, you will get a greater understanding of the mentoring role and help in supporting mentees.

The aim of this course is to prepare the learner for the mentoring role by analysing the role of the mentor and the use of mentoring in a specific context.

Units include:

  • Understand own role and responsibilities in relation to mentoring
  • Understand the use of mentoring in a specific context.
  • Understand how to identify client goals and outcomes

Entry requirements

You will need 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 (C) or above or equivalent (including Maths and English). You must also have a mentee for a minimum of 6 months.

There are a variety of assessment methods including written and observation.
