The course will cover how to safely use sewing machines and other equipment.
Learn how to sew and construct simple garments and accessories using the correct techniques. You will learn to understand body measurements and cut out fabric. Then how to understand the sewing pattern instruction and using the correct techniques, to construct your first garment or accessory.
Please note that courses held at the Asian Women's Project are for women only.

You will receive both verbal and written feedback from your tutor about your progress on course. This course is a fun and practical introduction to sewing!
By attending the course you will have increased your knowledge, skills and understanding to help you move on and take up further opportunities open to you.
Your tutor will discuss progression opportunities with you at the final session as part of the course evaluation. These may include other community courses, employability skills courses, volunteering opportunities and progression onto other Nottingham College courses.
