This course is perfect if you’ve already completed a relevant Level 3 course, and you’ll hone your skills and qualify as a Master Technician. As a technician who is already competent at Level 3, you will develop your knowledge and understanding of a range of more senior/specialist skills.
You’ll learn a range of theoretical and practical aspects in light vehicle technology and advanced diagnostic techniques, such as:
- Supporting job roles in the automotive work environment
- Making learning possible through demonstrations and instructions
- Motor vehicle customer service needs
- Monitoring procedures to control risk to health and safety
- Diagnosing faults where no prescribed process is available
- Technical support advice
- Liaising with suppliers

Level 4 Diploma in Advanced Vehicle Diagnostics and Management Principles
You’ll need a Level 3 automotive qualification plus Level 2 Maths and English Language. You will also need to successfully complete a practical assessment.
