Course outline

A weekly course that will give support and assistance to anyone who is unemployed or facing redundancy.

  • Building and producing a CV
  • Building confidence in completing application forms and understanding how to create the best chances of getting an interview and securing that job
  • Job search – how to search vacancies online and upload CV on to relevant websites

Interview techniques – how to make the most of your chance to sell yourself and your skills, how to answer difficult questions and become more confident and less nervous of interviews for jobs, college or personal reasons.

Progression

By attending the course you will have increased your knowledge, skills and understanding to help you move on and take up further opportunities open to you.

Your tutor will discuss progression opportunities with you at the final session as part of the course evaluation. These may include other community courses, employability skills courses, volunteering opportunities and progression onto other Nottingham College courses.
