What salary can I expect whilst I am an Apprentice?

The cur­rent Nation­al Min­i­mum Wage (NMW) rate for appren­tices is £4.81 per hour, how­ev­er, Gem­i­ni are pleased to offer £1 per hour more than the min­i­mum. This applies to 16 – 18 year old appren­tices and those aged over 18 in the first year of their Appren­tice­ship. For all oth­er appren­tices the Nation­al Min­i­mum Wage appro­pri­ate to their age applies. The Min­i­mum Wage for Appren­tices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.

Reality Check

  • Can­di­date must be avail­able to start imme­di­ate­ly. Can­di­date must be able to trav­el to the work­place accord­ing to work­ing hours.
  • Can­di­dates will be asked to com­plete a week-long work tri­al with the employ­er as part of the recruit­ment and selec­tion process for the role.
  • Due to the require­ments of the role, can­di­dates are required either hold, or be will­ing to work towards achiev­ing a full clean dri­ving licence.
  • There will be an oppor­tu­ni­ty for can­di­dates to apply for employ­ee ben­e­fits includ­ing a cycle to work scheme, and sup­port towards achiev­ing their motor­cy­cle or car dri­ving licence in accor­dance with cer­tain terms and con­di­tions. Infor­ma­tion will be pro­vid­ed when the role has been accepted.
