As part of our commitment to be employer led in designing and delivering training to meet the needs of local businesses, Nottingham College is proud to announce we are part of a consortium of local education providers who are coming together, in consultation with employers, to drive forward the local landscape of Digital and Online Technologies Training.
We aim to develop relevant training programmes and provide gateways to higher level technical education; helping to close skills gaps in key STEM areas from level 3 and higher. This will complement existing projects such as the Nottingham Tec 1000 project.
The project aims to work collaboratively with small and larger employers to have a significant impact to the local economy, local technical skill levels, and the talent pipeline available to the local employer market. The partnership aims attract funding for new facilities for technical skills and facilities,
We are currently identifying employers such as yourself, whom we feel would make a valuable contribution as part of the IoT employer advisory panel, and benefit greatly from the achievement of the aims of the IoT over the coming years.
We’d love to have your organization on board. We are expecting to have our initial launch in February 2021, so if you can confirm your expression of interest in joining the project we can provide further information as we receive it to allow you to identify the relevant representatives within your team.
