Event: Basford Community Fun Day

Taking place at our Basford Campus, you’re invited to join us for a day of fun and FREE activities. The event is open to everyone – whether you’re a student, staff or member of the local community, we would love to see you there.

Here’s some of the exciting FREE activities confirmed on the day:

• Notts County FC – Fancy learning some new skills or just want a kick about? The Notts County U19 Academy players and coaching staff are holding a series of fun sessions! These sessions are set to fill up fast to book your space to guarantee your spot.
• Animal Care – come along and find out all about pet maintenance and animal care. From grooming and animal exercise to food and training, our team are on hand to answer your questions! You’ll also be able to meet our furry (and not so furry) friends. 
• Sport, Health and Social Care, Wellbeing – visit our Health, fitness and wellbeing hub where you’ll be able to take part in some fun family fitness challenges, have an exercise plan written for you from our sports coaches, get some top tips on looking after your mental health, managing exam stress and mindfulness activities. 
• Construction – It’s not all hammers and plastering, come along and test your creativity with our construction department! Have a go at making a family crest or try some hands-on challenges. If you’ve got a DIY question, our team are on-hand to help too.
• Find out about life at Nottingham College – whether you’re wanting to return to education or thinking about your next steps after leaving school, we’re on hand to chat through your options and answer your questions. 
• Fashion design – Fancy trying your hand at fashion design? Bring along a t‑shirt and customise it with the help of our fashion department!
• History — Go back in time a few centuries and test your knowledge of Nottingham history. You’ll be able to dress up and re-enact historical events, create a medieval city and make your own coat of arms! Do you have your own costume? Bring it along! Anything from a medieval king or queen to a humble peasant, a civil war soldier or even a judge.
