Nottingham College’s online summer virtual events programme is here!
We have a range of virtual events planned, designed to help you get ready for college this September. You can find out about the course you’ve applied for, speak with your tutors, join other students in a live chat with tutors and hear about all the fantastic things in store for you when you join us.
Simple click on the event below that is relevant to the course area you have applied to and register your attendance. It’s as simple as that! If you’ve received an offer for more than one course, you are welcome to go multiple events if you wish!
This is your chance to find out about what’s in store for you in September and meet our team of teachers and other staff who will be supporting you every step of the way on your journey. We really look forward to meeting you.
If you have any questions or queries about the events. Please contact email@example.com.
Frequently asked questions
If you have applied for a full-time course and have received an offer of a place for September, then you will be eligible to attend.
These events will provide an opportunity for you to find out more about the college, the course you have applied for, what support is available and next steps before you start your college course in September.
You may have already received an email invite which will have a link to the main event landing page that lists all events. From this page you can select the appropriate event based on the course you have applied for.
If you have received an invitation through post it will be personalised and will indicate which event to book onto. For example, if you have applied for bricklaying you will be invited to the Construction event.
You may have received more than one invite because you have received an offer for more than one course, i.e. Early Years and Health and Social Care. You are very welcome to attend both to help you decide which one is the right course for you.
Once you have booked onto your event you will receive immediate confirmation of this to the email specified on your registration. A confirmation email will immediately follow your registration with instructions on how to access the live event. This will be an online event page that is tailored to the event you have registered to. You must be logged into Eventbrite with the email address you originally registered with to access this.
All events are scheduled for one hour. This is the general time that has been allocated across all events. Depending on how each event runs and the Q&A segment, this may be slight under or overrun slightly so use the advertised times as a rough guide.
There will be an opportunity for you to submit questions during the live events as part of the live Q&A segment. We will also provide an online form which can capture any questions or queries you have, we will respond to you after the event if you require further information.
No you not need to download the Microsoft Teams desktop client to watch the live event, you can choose the watch on web option. When opening the live event link you will see the screen below. Rather than downloading the desktop application you can just watch through your web browser.
You will then see the next screen as below. If you have a personal or school Microsoft account you can sign into now, or alternatively join the event anonymously.
You will then enter the event. If the live event hasn’t started the screen will show “The live event hasn’t started”. The event will be started at the schedule time, but make sure you join five to ten minutes before to ensure you don’t miss anything in the live event.

Unfortunately due to delays with Royal Mail delivering mail as a consequence of the recent flooding in Beeston and surrounding areas, invites sent out in the post may be received late for some events. If you have received a post invite late and the get ready for college event you were invited to has already happened, we are providing the full recording of all events to be available to watch. Please contact email@example.com with your details and the course you applied for. A link to the recording will be provided to you accordingly.
