Construction and the Built Environment

Nottingham College is one of the largest providers of construction training in the Midlands with a great reputation amongst employers!

You’ll be studying in our new £27m Basford Hall campus, with its industry standard workshops and first-rate facilities.

All our lecturers have years of experience in the field behind them, so you’ll be learning from the best in the business, in a supportive environment which is geared to setting you up for a great career. Our staff are industry professionals who understand the challenges of combining part-time study with full-time employment, so you'll be in safe hands!

We have great links with employers: we hold eight established partnerships with the largest construction employers in the UK who regularly offer our students the opportunity to get their hands on exciting projects. Our students have recently been working on Nottingham’s tram system.

Funding for employers

The CITB Grants Scheme has been put in place to ensure the long-term growth and development of the industry. Grants are available that contribute towards the cost of training, recognised qualifications and development.

All employers who are registered with CITB are eligible to claim a grant, providing they meet certain terms and conditions. Grants are available to help with a range of areas from Apprenticeship support to training and development plans for the whole business.  For further details of the CITB grant, visit: www.citb.co.uk/grant or call 0344 994 4455.
