Teacher Training

If you're interested in furthering your career in education and enjoying the rewarding benefits of helping to change peoples' lives on a daily basis, then Nottingham College's teacher training courses are perfect for you.

You'll be networking and learning from your peers as our students come from a variety of learning support roles in a wide range of settings including further and higher education and the voluntary sector.

Our study groups are small, allowing you to share good practice, exchange experiences and learn from each other within a supportive setting.

There are plenty of opportunities to work and study with your fellow students specialising in different modules, giving you a broader overview of the industry.

Our tutors are active researchers, so you’ll be kept up to date with any new thinking or developments in the education sector. You’ll be visited by external speakers, such as representatives from teaching agencies, whilst on the course to help you develop contacts and learn more about the industry.

You’ll also enjoy:

  • Supportive, approachable tutors with lots of industry experience
  • Courses offered on a full-time or part-time basis to allow you to fit your studies around your working life
  • Innovative e-learning methods
  • A personal approach to teaching and support to help you reach your individual goals
  • Close links with Nottingham Trent University
  • Small student groups for a more individual, personal experience
