This part-time course is designed for qualified gas engineers seeking to expand or renew their competencies in the installation, commissioning, and servicing of domestic gas-fired central heating boilers and water heaters. Aligned with the Accredited Certification Scheme (ACS), the CENWAT1 module is a vital component for engineers working with appliances in residential settings.
This assessment tests gas safety competence in installing, commissioning, exchanging, disconnecting, servicing, repairing and breakdown domestic central heating boilers and water heaters.
The types of domestic appliances covered by this training includes:
- Central heating and hot water boilers
- Circulators
- Open and balanced flue
- Combination boilers
- Instantaneous water heaters with a heat input up to and including 70kW
- Storage water heaters
Course information
31 hours
You must have an in-date Core Gas Safety Certificate (CCN1) and experience of working with central heating boilers and water heaters.
You will undertake practical activities and written tests to assess competence.
