Additional information

The last contacted time is determined by the last communication signal received from a set-top box to the management system. This will be relative to when the data was last generated. (Cached for 1 minute). Loss of connection detection can take up to 60 seconds, while detecting a re-established connection can take between 1 and 10 minutes.

Certain devices may report further information about the TV screen it is connected to such as the power state and if the sound is muted. This is provided from either a Tripleplay TV controller or Viewsonic myViewBoard manager for compatible ViewSonic TV devices.

It is normal for some set-top boxes to report the TV screen it is linked to as being off during out of hours periods, this is to save energy and is automatically scheduled to occur for TV screens which support it through TV controller functionality.
