If you are unhappy with one or more grades and think there has been a mistake in the marking of your exam/assessments. 

If you are a current student, you should first contact your tutor or speak to a member of the teaching or curriculum team to discuss whether submitting a formal review or clerical re-check of marking is the right decision for you.

If you have undertaken an exam as a private candidate, you can speak to our exams team, who will be able to advise and guide you through the process.

Depending on the examination board and type of exam, there are different deadlines and fees associated with each service. More details about the available services and fees are available on our Post Results page.

If you wish to proceed with this process, it is important to be aware of several factors:

• You must go through the Nottingham College exam centre to request a review. Requests from students or parents sent directly to the awarding body won’t be accepted.

• There are various deadlines and fees for additional exam services which are set by each examination board.

• Your original mark is lowered, so your final grade may be lower than the original grade you received.

• Your original mark is confirmed as correct, so there is no change to your grade.

• Your original mark is raised, so your final grade may be higher than the original grade you received.

All requests must be completed through our post results enquiry form, which our exams team will process accordingly against the exam entries and services requested for each exam. This must be completed online as we require recorded electronic consent and a signature to proceed.
