Changing your legal name on your Learner Hub account

A legal name change on your student record requires official evidence, which is reviewed by our admissions team.

Because your student record needs to remain consistent with official documentation for purposes such as certificates, exam registration (if applicable), and other official college areas, a formal name change cannot be directly edited through your account in the way a phone number or address can. This requires formal evidence, which might include a deed poll, marriage or civil partnership certificate, or updated passport, depending on the nature of the change.

Since this affects records held by exam boards and awarding bodies as well as the college's own systems, you should allow for processing time and raising a request as early as possible, particularly if the timing matters for an upcoming exam registration, certificate, or any official correspondence.

You will need to contact our admissions team through feadmissions@nottinghamcollege.ac.uk to start this process.
