Reporting an absence from college

Information for Students

We have an online Student Absence Alerting System so that you can self-notify us if you are going to be absent from college for any reason.

  1. To use the system, please log in using your College ID number (this is printed on your College ID Card and is six digits, such as 123456).

  2. Please then enter your Nottingham College password and click ‘login’.

  3. On the next screen, please tell us the reason for your absence and hit ‘submit’.

If you have forgotten your Nottingham College password, you can use the Microsoft Self Service Password Reset (SSPR) Portal.

If you are unable to access your Nottingham College account, please email absences@nottinghamcollege.ac.uk to report your absence.

Please note: If you are ill or absent for multiple days, you will need to self-notify for each day that you are absent.

Information for Parents/Guardians of Nottingham College students

Wherever possible, please ask your son/daughter/ward to log in and report the absence themselves (via the above process).

If this is not possible, alternatively you can report an absence on their behalf. Please email absences@nottinghamcollege.ac.uk.
