EMTEC is a specialist and globally renowned provider of automotive education and training.
Based in Nottingham, our team of professional trainers have all enjoyed successful careers in the UK and global automotive and engineering sector for a number of years.
We develop and supply talent to the UK and global automotive industry, presiding over a wide ranging training programme covering automotive apprenticeships, specialist bespoke training packages, online training and accredited automotive qualifications.
We are expert collaborators and we take pride in our ability to operate as a strategic partner, entirely responsive to your organisation and training needs. We enjoy successful and longstanding partnerships with international brands including KIA, Hyundai, Ferrari, Bentley, Aston Martin, Tesla and Ssang Yong. We work closely with professional bodies including the IMI (Institute of Motor Industry) and ATA (Automotive Technician Accreditation) to ensure our training is cutting-edge and relevant to the industry today, and in the future.
Owned and managed by Nottingham College, one of the largest colleges in the UK, EMTEC offers safe, regulated and accredited training to young people and adults within the automotive and engineering industry. We are inspected by Ofsted and are safeguarding practices and provision of pastoral care are inspected within the rigorous inspection standard used.
Internationally, EMTEC Colleges Ltd has established EMTEC Consulting (Shanghai) Ltd operating in Shanghai, China, as well as EMTEC Colleges (Hong Kong) Ltd. Both are wholly owned subsidiaries of Nottingham College.

We are located within Nottingham College’s Ruddington campus which sits on its own 5 acre footprint within a rural business park adjacent to a 210 acre country park and boasts off street parking, EV charging and secure storage.
The site comprises three large buildings, each boasting classrooms, workshops and demo space.
We house an onsite cafeteria and provide offsite overnight accommodation for those training with us on residential programmes.
Our training facilities are unrivalled in the region. We feature dedicated workshop spaces for light vehicle technical repair, structural repair, bodywork repair and research and development. We also have a dedicated caravan and motorhome workshop.
Facilities include two spray-booths, a dedicated electric and hybrid vehicle lab and a fabrication innovation unit. We also host our own End Point Assessment centre to support full delivery of Apprenticeships, including those delivered by partners.
Our onsite facilities include:

Our team of assessors, trainers and onsite technicians are highly skilled and incredibly committed to providing the highest standards of training and development.
All of our trainers began life in industry and use this industry experience and understanding to enhance our training offer. They have developed a wide ranging training programme that includes apprenticeships, short courses, other accredited qualifications and a range of value added programmes in which we enhance our courses with non-mandatory training modules that equips our candidates for future demand on their skills.
Our team of apprentice trainers are all working towards, or have already completed, their master tech level of proficiency.
Our training teams are supported by onsite cleaning, ICT and hospitality staff.
