The Gateway is Nottingham College’s brand-new independent living and employability skills centre for students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities (SLDD).
Based at the college’s Basford site, The Gateway supports and equips SLDD students with skills to enhance their future opportunities, their everyday life, and to reach their full potential.
About the new centre
The Gateway has bespoke facilities comprising of 13 classrooms, a teaching kitchen, dining area and ancillary spaces across a gross internal floor area of 1,350m2 as well as associated external works to the grounds.
Supported Learning
Supported Learning is our course area for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). We offer courses specifically designed to meet the needs of students between the ages of 16 and 24 who have a learning difficulty and/or disability, and to help them reach their potential.
