EMTEC is one of the UK’s largest automotive training specialists, part of Nottingham College which is one of the largest FE Colleges in the country.

We are looking for industry professionals to be at the forefront of automotive training, supporting a rapid change in the sector as part of a team delivering expertise and training at the highest level.

The automotive sector is changing fast. The growth in innovation in the sector is being charged by surge in popularity of electric and hybrid vehicles, new manufacturing materials and techniques and changes in our economy which have seen an increase in demand for larger vehicles, including caravans, campervans and motorhomes.

Here at Nottingham College we lead a team of innovators who are at the forefront of training and development in this exciting sector.

Every year we train hundreds of young people and established professionals. Running training programmes for the world’s most prestigious and popular automotive brands we deliver IMI accredited training, apprenticeships and bespoke solutions to our brand partners.

We are looking for qualified automotive technicians to join our training team, working from our site in Nottingham but travelling across the country, working with our partner brands, forging long-lasting relationships with them and getting to know their products and their business.

Current Automotive Teaching/Training Opportunities

At our training centre in Ruddington, Nottingham, you’ll work within a team of innovative and dynamic individuals to deliver an inspiring training programme to employees of the world’s leading automotive brands. You’ll be expected to develop our partnerships through regular travel to sites across the UK, with travel and accommodation expenses paid. 

You’ll work with industry leading equipment to deliver training, skills and qualifications. No formal teaching training is required but candidates with a teaching and/​or skills mentor background would find their experience beneficial. 

You will need to hold a level 3 qualification in automotive engineering, manufacturing engineering, motor vehicle repair and maintenance, or in specialist automotive technical roles such as motorhomes and caravans, electric vehicle or body repair.
