I would recommend the College 100% to anybody looking to study a higher education qualification.Laureen —
Laureen came to the UK with her husband in 2005 and settled here with her two children, aged 15 and seven. With a boutique clothing shop back at home in Malawi, Laureen wanted to use her time overseas to gain some qualifications to enhance her business.
Studying alongside her busy family life and working as a bank administrator, Laureen worked hard to graduate with a BA (Hons) degree in Business Studies, awarded by Nottingham Trent University, where she now plans to progress to a Masters in Finance.
Laureen said: “Coming to the UK and graduating feels like such a huge achievement. I never imagined I’d be at the point I am now. This course has given me so much more self-belief and drive. I hope my children will see this and be inspired.”
I found that because the College is smaller than a university setting it offers much more one-to-one support if and when you need it.
I was based at the Adams Building, right in the centre of the city, and that was great because there was a lovely, lively atmosphere and plenty to do outside of my studies.— Laureen
