Reza — part-time AAT Accounting

I’ve got the qualifications I need to work as a professional.

Reza — AAT Accounting Level 3 and 4

Reza used AAT Accounting courses at Nottingham College to get qualified, and now he runs an accountancy business! DNS Accountants Nottingham, his new franchise, is based just off Gregory Boulevard in Nottingham.

He completed Level 3 and is now coming to the end of Level 4. Now he has AAT accounting qualifications, Reza can offer a range of tax and management accounting services. These include bookkeeping, tax services, payroll, and more.

Reza's experience of an accounting course at Nottingham College

Reza said: My Accounting tutor Irfan always supported me and guided me. He also helped me and the other students to find the best next steps, for example to move from Level 3 to Level 4 and then get a licence.

He was always helpful and we chatted about the future and jobs.

Another good thing about Nottingham College is that they considered my international qualifications and my skills and experience to help me progress.

So, in quite a short time I’ve got the qualifications I need to work as a professional.

I have also developed my communication and technical skills and started my own business.”

He found it useful to work with his coursemates

Reza said: I have made friends on my courses. We meet for some study sessions outside college, like in the library, for revising and doing some practice.

During lockdown, we also had a good online group chat. We used it to share any study problems and ask questions. It was very helpful.”

Reza's advice to adults who are thinking of returning to study

Reza said: I think if an adult is worried about going to College, I would tell them that at Nottingham College, I had no issues with my age. Everyone is given the same opportunities, young or old!

Some courses, like my accounting courses, are designed for adults. Many on my course are 35 years old or older.”
