At Nottingham College, we’re absolutely committed to ensuring students leave us with the skills they’ll need to find employment — whether that’s straight away or when they’ve completed further study.
College is not just about a qualification — it’s about becoming more independent, being exposed to a variety of career options and understanding the skills needed to succeed in applying and interviewing for jobs. All our students are encouraged and supported to find work experience placements. They have plenty of opportunity to learn from visiting speakers or through working in our professional hair and make-up salons, restaurant, cafes and motor dealerships.
Great Progression
At Nottingham College, we have a wide range of courses to suit all abilities. This means that once a student has completed their course they can move onto a higher level of study. Research has shown that the higher the level of qualification you have, the more likely you are to be employed and the more money you’ll earn – so it’s a great incentive to keep learning! We offer courses right from Entry-level and Level 1 for students who would like to improve their basic skills through to Level 2 which is equivalent to GCSEs and Level 3 which is equivalent to A Levels. We even offer degree-level study, accredited by partner universities, which is a great option for students who would like to study in an environment they are familiar with which is close to home and offers great value for money.
