Grace — full-time GCSES

The Lecturers are so passionate about what they’re teaching

Grace — GCSES —

Nineteen-year-old Grace has earned her place at Nottingham College’s High Pavement Sixth Form, after doing GCSEs at Nottingham College this year. Grace now lives in Nottingham, but moved from the Philippines two years ago to live with her mum, who worked in London at the time.

Although Grace had studied in the Philippines, she needed GCSEs to enable her to begin her A Levels. So, she chose the full-time GCSE programme at Nottingham College.

Her GCSE results ranged from grade 5 to grade 8, and she’s delighted. She’ll now study A Levels in English Language, English Literature and Sociology.

Grace said: I am really happy with my results and it’s such a relief! I had very good teachers who I loved learning from, but I wasn’t expecting grades like these! They mean I can continue on to A Levels at High Pavement, which was the ultimate goal.”

Nottingham College has a very welcoming atmosphere, and for someone who has been out of education for a while, the lecturers, who are so passionate about what they’re teaching, really make you want to continue learning.

 — Grace

In the future, Grace would like to pursue a career as a lawyer or an English teacher.
