Frequently asked questions

What should I expect at a Nottingham College Open Evening?

The Open Evenings are a chance for you to see our facilities and meet our expert tutors who will provide you with much more information about the course/courses you are interested in – It is your chance to ask questions and get a feel of what College is like. Our student support areas will be available during the evening if you would like information on student finance, careers, student enrichment and additional learning support. There will also be an application zone where our friendly admissions team will be on hand to help you apply.

Do I have to book or can I just turn up?

Booking is essential as we need to know how many people will be there on the evening so that we can plan and manage numbers accordingly.

Do I have to book multiple tickets if I am attending with parents/family/friends?

Please only book one ticket for yourself/the person interested in the course at Nottingham College. E.g. If you are coming with your parent or guardian, please only book one ticket for yourself.

Can I book onto multiple events?

Yes! You are welcome to attend multiple events for different courses, but you will need to book these individually so we have accurate visitor numbers for each subject areas.

Will there be any COVID-19 protocols in place for these events?

We are still taking COVID-19 very seriously at Nottingham College. We recommend that you bring and wear a face mask/covering whilst in our communal areas where social distancing is not possible. We will provide hand sanitiser on arrival and each event has a maximum capacity set.

I cannot make the Open Evening date for the subject I am interested in – can I come another time?

We will be repeating the Open Evening programme again in January/February 2022, so if you cannot make any of the dates in October/November then you will have the opportunity to attend in the new year – registration for these events will open later on in the year.
