Activities at Nottingham College
Held at our Nottingham College campuses across the city, interactive taster sessions give students the opportunity to experience the college setting as well as a chance to go hands on with a range of exciting subjects. If we offer a vocational course in it, students can give it a try. These are available to small groups with similar interests, larger groups or even whole year groups as either a full or half day. Whatever your needs, we can arrange a bespoke day at one or more of our campuses.
We can provide an in-depth campus tour, showing students our fantastic facilities and the comprehensive range of courses available at each campus.
School groups are invited along to participate in an industry-style day where they can find out more about a particular industry sector, for example catering ,construction, sport or hair and beauty . Students can participate in a variety of different workshops during the day, providing them with a fantastic opportunity to have a go at various activities and find out all they need to know about a particular industry
During National Apprenticeship Week the College delivers its annual Apprenticeship & Employability Fair. Sector and industry specialists are available to help students understand the benefits of an apprenticeship and the types of roles, careers and progression opportunities available. A number of activities will be taking place including an information area for employers/training providers and interactive demonstrations.
Feel free to contact us if you would like to arrange an informal chat about the support we can offer to your students in terms of activities and interventions to introduce the options available after leaving school. We are more than happy to either meet at your school or host you at one of our Nottingham College campuses.
