We offer a wide range of Sport cours­es, which is one of the key fac­tors in mak­ing us the num­ber one fur­ther edu­ca­tion (FE) provider of sport in Nottinghamshire!

A course with us will open up an excit­ing range of careers. For exam­ple, our stu­dents have gone on to become per­son­al train­ers, PE teach­ers, nutri­tion­ists, leisure man­agers, pro­fes­sion­al sports coach­es and even pro­fes­sion­al athletes. 

You can choose from path­ways in Sports Devel­op­ment, Fit­ness, Train­ing, Coach­ing, PE Teach­ing and Elite Sports Per­for­mance. You’ll ben­e­fit from a well-round­ed edu­ca­tion­al and sport­ing expe­ri­ence that can lead direct­ly into an excit­ing career, or to uni­ver­si­ty-lev­el study.

To com­ple­ment your course, we also organ­ise res­i­den­tial trips in the UK and over­seas, plus day trips. The Sport depart­ment also offers a com­pre­hen­sive work expe­ri­ence and vol­un­teer­ing scheme through our exclu­sive part­ner­ships in the world of sport. High­lights include: coor­di­nat­ing one of the largest Euro­pean ten­nis events for chil­dren at the Not­ting­ham Ten­nis Open on behalf of the Lawn Ten­nis Asso­ci­a­tion (LTA), vol­un­teer­ing at the Nation­al Ice Cen­tre and Trent Bridge Inter­na­tion­al Crick­et Ground and coor­di­nat­ing pri­ma­ry school sport events.

We have the expertise, high quality training and connections to ensure our students can stand out amongst competitors in a variety of sports and sports related professions.

There are a vast number of career options in the industry – whether you would like to be a Fitness Instructor, a Grounds Person, a Leisure Attendant, a Personal Trainer, a PE Teacher, a Referee, a Sports and Exercise Psychologist, a Sports Coach, a Sport Development Officer, a Sports Physiotherapist, a Sports Scientist – there are many choices available to you.

A sport course with us will open up an exciting range of careers. For example, many of our students have gone on to become personal trainers, PE teachers, nutritionists, leisure managers, professional sports coaches and even professional athletes.

Community Activator Coach - Intermediate Apprenticeship (Level 2)
