Halfords chose Nottingham College to deliver bespoke apprenticeship training for their autocentre technicians across the country thanks to our fantastic reputation in delivering automotive training.

Nottingham College is proud to partner with the NuH Trust to deliver bespoke training for their staff and apprentices.

The college’s innovative new training partnership with East Midlands Airport provides local people with the skills they need to access the varying careers available within the aviation, tourism and logistics industries.

Hyundai is the fourth largest car manufacturer in the world and we’re proud to be partnering with them to train their apprentices across the country in a multitude of automotive apprenticeships at our base in Ruddington.

For International Women’s Day, we partnered with EMCCA to host an event at our new Construction Skills Centre, highlighting careers for women in construction. The day brought together industry leaders and educators to tackle gender imbalance and showcase opportunities in areas like green technologies, supporting EMCCA’s mission to build a diverse, skilled workforce.

Regional Youth Guarantee Pilot
Nottingham College has been appointed by EMCCA to lead a Government-backed pilot supporting over 200 young people aged 18–21 who are not in education, employment, or training (NEET). Running across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, this programme provides personalised learning pathways, mental health support, coaching, and careers guidance.

CEMA has played a key role in shaping the curriculum and technical training at our new Engineering and Electrical Centre. They also take on multiple apprentices each year, providing real-world experience that complements classroom learning. Their commitment helps bridge the regional skills gap and ensures apprentices gain practical skills aligned with modern manufacturing standards.

McCann Ltd has been instrumental in supporting electrical training provision. Managing Director, John McCann highlighted the importance of having a local, dedicated centre where apprentices can learn in purpose-built environments. Their partnership ensures apprentices develop skills that meet employer expectations and deliver exceptional service to customers.

Balfour Beatty works with Nottingham College to inspire future talent by attending careers events and offering hands-on opportunities. They recently hosted a Careers Mentoring Day for our Prince’s Trust students, providing CV support, mock interviews, and career advice. These activities give learners direct access to industry professionals and insight into major projects like the Waterside Footbridge, helping them build confidence and employability skills.
