Work placements
The college is committed to offering our students an element of work experience as part of their wider programme of study with us. For Nottingham College, learning is more than just about obtaining a qualification, it’s about building skills and knowledge that enable a young person transition into the workplace and into a successful and meaningful career. We would welcome any employer coming forward to offer a work experience placement – it’s a fantastic thing to do, great for your staff who get to share their own experiences and mentor a young person but ultimately, it’s about business and education coming together to support a young person be the best they can be.
Industry Advisory Boards
At the heart of Nottingham College’s strategy is the drive to ensure all areas of curriculum we offer reflects the needs of local and regional employers and our economy as a whole. We must ensure our curriculum delivers the right skills, the right qualifications and the right attitudes so that when our students leave us, they are ready to go to work and contribute to economic growth and prosperity, wherever they go.
Our Industry Advisory Boards are made up of representatives from businesses across a range of sectors and the Boards tackle a range of issues and themes.
