GCSE maths and English exams — all you need to know

A free breakfast will be available from 8am to all those sitting an exam on any or all of these dates.

Exam locations are still being finalised, but in the coming weeks, your Electronic Learning Platform (E-ILP) will provide the precise location (address, room number and seat number) of your exam(s).

This is the most accurate and up-to-date source of information; any changes will be updated live in the E-ILP. It is important to note that the location may not be the same for each exam, so we please ask that you check your E-ILP regularly.

It is essential you are punctual and attend all exams in order to give you the best possible chance of achieving well.

There is very little flexibility for non-attendance. These exam times and dates are co-ordinated nationally and as a college we must follow the national guidance for each exam.

Medical absences require evidence from a healthcare professional and need to be supplied in advance of the exam taking place. Students who do not provide adequate and timely medical exemption information and do not attend their exam will be recorded as non-attended. This has an impact on your ability to progress with the college and indeed beyond into further study or employment elsewhere.

For all exams, you are required to bring a BLACK pen.

For all maths exams, students are expected to have the following available for use:

• Pencil (for use in diagrams only)
• Ruler
• Pair of compasses
• Protractor
• For the 2nd and 3rd exams, a scientific calculator is also required (Suggested Casio FX-83GTX).
