Mental Health Services

Coming to college should be an exciting opportunity to make new friends and learn new things.

Sometimes though, it can be hard to settle in, and you might be feeling lonely or isolated. It may be that you are enjoying college but something else is happening in your life that is bringing you down.

The effects of the Covid pandemic on the mental health of all people, but particularly young people, is starting to come into focus. Here at Nottingham College we are very focussed on supporting all students with their mental health.

We have a number of designated mental health first aiders and our team of achievement coaches and learning support coaches help students through a complex range of mental health needs.

Additionally we work with a number of external organisations to offer students tailored support. These include:

  • Kooth
  • Time to Change
  • YMCA
  • Childline
  • Mind
  • The Mix
  • Samaritans
  • BBC Radio 1
