News: Caring students fundraise for Stonebridge

Please note: This news story may contain information that is no longer current or up to date.

Early Years students at Nottingham College showed their caring side by fundraising over £1000 for Stonebridge City Farm after hearing about its funding issues.

In March, over 80 students from early years and education courses, ranging from Entry to Level 3, took part in a sponsored walk from our Clarendon campus to the farm.

Early Years Assessor Esther Colton said:

The walk was fantastic. Seeing so many of our learners join the walk was quite emotional. Stonebridge is a very important resource to the local community, I knew we had to do something to help keep the place open. I am very proud of all of our learners for taking part and raising lots of money.

On Friday 10 May students Matthew Osborne, 18, and Jhon Fry, 17 along with Assessor Esther Colton handed the cheque over to Manager, Peter Armitage.
