News: Collaborating with industry is the perfect recipe
Thursday 26 April marks the fourth consecutive year that our Hospitality Management students have joined forces with the professionals from Marco Pierre White's (MPW) Nottingham restaurant; to treat diners to a special themed evening which the students have planned and organised themselves from scratch.
The degree-level students will take charge of the renowned Steakhouse Bar and Grill, situated on Wollaton Street, for just one night only and will be serving an impressive three-course menu priced at just £25pp. They have been working hard for the past six months on their business idea, being mentored by the MPW team on everything from advertising and branding to operations and costings.
This year many of the group of students originate from parts of Europe and so decided to theme the evening, which they have aptly named Una Noche (Spanish for One Night), on authentic tastes from dishes around the world, including Spain, France, North Africa, Italy and Egypt.
The menu, which will be cooked by Marco's chefs and served by the students, includes: a sharing platter of crispy fried whitebait, calamari and tiger prawns; followed by rib-eye steak with aubergine and lemon caviar; and raspberry Crème Brulee to finish. Check out the full menu here.
Tables are available from 6pm-9.30pm. To book call: 0115 872 0602.
