Nottingham College and their Fast Track Sports Academy are delighted to announce another new exciting partnership with Nottingham City Netball Club.

Nottingham City Netball Club

Nottingham City Netball Club is a high performance club, with its roots back in the 1960s. They have squads ranging from U11 through to seniors and play in the Senior East Midlands Regional league and the Nottingham Netball Association League (Junior and Senior). We also provide fundamental” netball coaching for children aged between 5 and 9 years old.

The club have a talented coaching team, led by Head Coach, Pauline Shipman, who is very well respected within the England Netball world. There are a number of UKCC level 2 coaches as well as UKCC level 1 staff and the club also have a coach working towards her UKCC level 3

Nottingham City Netball club encourage Nottingham College students to take advantage of the coaching, volunteering and playing opportunities that are provided by the club and encourage all players to develop yourself to play at the highest level you can. All the managers, coaches, officials and other support staff give freely of their time and expertise to encourage and support you. 

Pauline Shipman, Nottingham City Netball Club Chair and Nottingham Netball Association Chair shared her views: 


The club has maintained its high profile over many years. There has been personnel achievements for more than players with volunteers gaining awards The Club has always been a forward thinking club and continues to be so and we look forward to enter into a relationship with the Nottingham College, Old Basford. It is hoped this new venture will benefit the Club in the future and provide the opportunity for students from the college to be involved with the Club at all levels.

Ollie Judd, Fast Track Manager added: getting this partnership over the line is a positive move for the college. A well respected netball team in the country, that will provide students’ opportunities to get involved and either participate and/​or volunteer. This will inevitably help their development and give them valuable experience in the sports industry”
