News: College Student Trains With Forest Ladies
Nottingham College is currently running a highly successful ladies football programme in partnership with Nottingham Forest Ladies FC (NFLFC) which is open to 16 – 18 year old students who are enrolled on a full time course at the college.
The College has access to regular and structured training, strength and conditioning sessions, player analysis as well as playing in competitive matches in the Association of Colleges East Midlands Football league. The team benefit from weekly high quality football coaching which is delivered by NFLFC first team manager Graham Abercrombie.
Vivien Bansock a first year Nottingham College sport student has recently been invited to join the Nottingham Forest Ladies FC reserves team. This is a great honour and achievement and an example of how the pathway from college football into an FA women’s premium team can achieved.
Viv is currently studying on a full time sport programme at Nottingham College’s Clifton campus and joined the college Ladies football programme in September 2017.
Viv said:
It is very exciting to play for the reserves at Nottingham Forest Ladies FC. It has given me the opportunity to meet new people and gain more skills. Everyone welcomed me into the team and I feel privileged to have this opportunity.
