271 students from China are visiting Nottingham College as part of a 4‑week Summer School exchange. Students and staff from a number of Chinese universities will be in Nottingham until 11 August. The summer school programme is in its 13th year of a successful partnership between Nottingham College and Chinese Universities. 

The Summer School provides opportunities for the students to improve their English Language, exchange new teaching methods, learn about British culture and visit tourist attractions in Nottingham and other cities including London, Birmingham, York, Cambridge, Stratford upon Avon and Oxford.

The students meet Councillor Michael Edwards, the Lord Mayor of Nottingham on Thursday 27 July at the Robin Hood statue.
