Winmau and Nottingham Darts Academy have provided Derby County Football Club’s first team players with a couple of Blade 5 dart boards for the players to play on.

Gary Horsley from Room 180 and Nottingham Darts Academy, visited the outstanding training complex at Derby and was delighted to be able to provide the first team players with the new boards, he comments

Darts is such a growing sport and it is great that the Derby players find time to relax and practice their darting skills.

Simon Hall, from Winmau was more than delighted to provide the club with the boards and hopes to see the links develop as the players take their darts further.

You never know, Welsh international Joe Ledley could follow in the footsteps of Red Dragon and darts PDC star Gerwyn Price by making a change of career post football. Gerwyn was a highly successful rugby player before turning to darts and his rise up the PDC rankings has been remarkable.

Who knows what the future holds….
