News: Important update for students (13th June 2023)
News of today’s incident will be alarming to many of our students and we thank you for your attendance at college and in your exams today.
We have been in regular liaison with Nottinghamshire Police throughout the day and we are confident that all our college campuses are safe and that our students can continue to access their learning as normal.
We have not been asked or advised to change our normal day in any way and for that reason, please continue to follow your normal timetable for this week, including attending any exams you have.
Due to road closures and a police cordon occupying much of the city centre, it may take you longer to get home this afternoon than it normally does, and your normal route may be diverted. Please check the websites and social media channels of your bus provider.
We do not yet know if the cordons will be in place tomorrow. For that reason please plan extra time to get into college tomorrow, especially if you have an exam in a city centre exam venue.
We understand that news of the incident may well have unnerved you. Please talk to your pastoral tutors and wellbeing mentors if you are in anyway anxious but please be assured that the college remains a very safe space for all our learners.
We’ll see you tomorrow.
