Nottingham College offered free family activities, art exhibits and an illuminated costume parade for Light Night 2020.

The events were held on Friday 7 February at the College’s City campus in the Lace Market (at 25 Stoney Street, opposite the Adams Building).

This year’s Light Night was inspired by the broad theme of Life on Earth, covering everything from nature and animals to science and philosophy and humanity and society.

Nottingham College’s Art, Design & Architecture, Fashion & Textiles, and A Level photography students and staff worked hard to prepare activities and exhibits inspired by planet earth.

Students got valuable work experience running activities, and both staff and students also raised some funds for charity.

There was also a bright and colourful baroque-style light-up costume parade around town. Fashion and Textiles students modelled their upcycled outfits and lots of people stopped them for selfies!

If you’re passing 25 Stoney Street in the next few days, you can still enjoy the light boxes in the windows.
