News: Making the most of a Virtual Open Evening!

Please note: This news story may contain information that is no longer current or up to date.

There’s lots to consider when attending virtual information event. Our top tips will help you get the most out of our upcoming Parent/Carer information events taking place this April.

1. Book a space and keep an eye on your inbox!

Make sure to book your space on the event/s you want to attend. We are currently offering two parent information events, once which will cover A Levels and one which will cover vocational courses. You are welcome to attend both!

It’s important to book a space online as you’ll get information and joining instructions for the events sent directly to your email inbox (so keep an eye on your emails too). Make sure to read the information you’re sent beforehand as this will help you access the events and find out more about life at Nottingham College.

2. Take a look at our FAQS.

From getting connected to booking your space, our FAQs have got you covered. If you still have a question or can’t find the information you’re looking for, don’t worry, there’s plenty of ways to get in touch with us.*

  • Give us a call on 0115 9100 100
  • Connect with an advisor on live chat by clicking the link on our website.
  • Send us a message on social media (our Social Media Team will signpost you in the right direction)

* Mon-Fri — 9.00am — 4.30pm

3. Browse our website

You’ll find detailed course information, downloadable course guides and our Curious about College pages on the website. These provide a great overview of life at Nottingham College, information about entry requirements and course content, and can help you find the answer to any initial questions you may have.

4. Have a pen and paper to hand!

This sounds obvious but lots of people forget. There’s nothing worse than realising you’ve not got a pen or paper when you want to jot down a key piece of information or a question you may want to ask later on.

5. Ask questions

Just like if you were attending in person, you’re bound to have some questions you’d like answering. Part of the Virtual Open Evenings include live Q&A sessions where our course tutors will be on hand to answer your questions via Microsoft Teams – don’t be shy, get involved!

6. Finally…sit back, relax and find out all about life at Nottingham College!

Grab your headphones (or find a quiet space), get yourself a cuppa and learn more about Nottingham College from the comfort of your own sofa.

Virtual Open Evenings

Earlier this year we held a series of Virtual Open Evenings. Open events are a fantastic way to find out more about specific courses, have your questions answered or get a general overview of college life. If you missed them don’t worry! You can register to receive all the information, presentations and recordings on our Virtual Open Evening web pages. Once we have your details we’ll send all the info you need straight to your inbox!
