Jess Pearson, a recent Nottingham College graduate, is launching a new magazine this summer.

She’s taking creative submissions, so you could see your work featured in Life on Venus magazine!

Jess did a foundation degree in Photography Practice here at the College. She then stayed on to do a BA (Hons) top-up degree in Digital Media Design.

She’s now a photographer in London, alongside working on Life on Venus magazine.

Talking to each other to make positive changes

Jess aims for Life on Venus magazine to be an open conversation. She’s using the magazine’s Instagram account to help make a space for discussions that influence positive change.

Submit something for the first magazine

The theme of the first conversation is sustainable fashion. The magazine is now open for submissions on that theme. You could send digital copies of art, poetry, illustration, photography, or other creative pieces.

The deadline to submit pieces for the first magazine is 14 May. Find details of how to submit on the magazine’s Instagram account.

Jess is working with graphic designer Le Hamburger to create the magazine.

I’m really excited about the magazine project. It would be great to get some submissions from Nottingham College students and other creative people.

I’d love to give some students the opportunity to see their work in print.
