News: Nottingham College launches new online courses for adults
Nottingham College has launched a brand new range of courses delivered fully online. The part-time distance learning courses are designed to help adults aged 19 or over to retrain for their future, or to improve their skills in their current career.
Many of the courses are free to people aged 19+ who meet certain eligibility criteria. A new range of short continuing professional development (CPD) courses is also available to enrol on. These options are low-cost online courses suitable for individuals or businesses.
People can study online at a time to suit them. The courses are delivered in bite-size chunks, spanning many career areas, such as: health and care, IT and digital, customer service, accounting, and education, to name just some of them.
For businesses, the courses provide a cost-effective way to train staff with accredited qualifications, without having to travel to a training venue. Alongside the sector-specific training such as healthcare, a wide range of business training is available, including areas such as: health and safety, equality and diversity, customer service and management skills.
These new online courses have never been more vital, as we endure another period of lockdown. Whilst the College is open, not everyone can come to college to develop new skills and refresh existing ones.
By making high quality learning available online at any time in any place, we can give more people locally access to the education they need to boost their skills, improve their employability or experience the joy of learning something new.
Our online offer is also a chance for businesses to access affordable staff development, which we are continuously developing to help businesses grow and succeed.

The short CPD courses are marked with an online assessment and people will receive a College certificate. People who choose one of the longer courses, that lead to accredited qualifications, will have support from a tutor alongside the online learning.
