Course introduction
Perfect if you want to explore your talents in acting and dance and gain some experience in the performing arts.
You’ll learn the basics of performance and the skills needed to develop a career in performing arts. You will begin to develop techniques to create a character and perform in front of an audience.
You can expect a good all-round grounding in the basic techniques of performance. Experienced tutors will help you develop skills in dance and acting and help you gain a good understanding of the performing arts industry. The course will help with confidence and self-esteem and develop team work and communication skills.

Music, Performing & Production Arts (Level 1 UAL Diploma)
You’ll need 4 GCSEs at grades 3–1 (D–G), including English and maths at grades 3–1 (D–G), or a relevant Entry 3 vocational qualification and you will also be asked to sit an initial assessment. The initial assessment must show that you are ready to study English and maths at Level 1. If your results are lower than this, don't worry, we'll find the right course for you.
Choose to follow with further study on a Level 2 Performing Arts course or into another career using the wide range of skills developed.
Students aged 16-18 don't have to pay tuition fees.
