Nottingham College held a fantastic recognition evening alongside Tesla to celebrate the graduation of 10 apprentices from the Tesla apprenticeship programme. The event was held at our EMTEC centre in Ruddington, home to one of the UK’s largest automotive training centres.

The Tesla Apprenticeship Programme provides world-class training and sees apprentices from across the country undertake their training here in Nottingham. The programme is designed to train and develop apprentices in a way that enables them to keep pace with advancing technology and high levels of customer service as well as achieve formal qualifications through extensive product training, all while in full-time employment.

The programme offers superb career prospects and all 10 graduating apprentices have been offered employment by Tesla.

Amongst those graduating was Scott Thompson who was awarded Apprentice of the Year.

He was nominated by both Tesla and the College for his overall achievement and work ethic.

All graduating apprentices have achieved a Level 2 Auto Care Technician qualification and certificates were awarded by; Service and HR leaders from Tesla and Glen Smith, Apprentice Programme Delivery Manager EMTEC

Speaking of the success of the apprentices on the programme, Glen Smith, Apprentice Programme Delivery Manager at EMTEC said:

The Tesla programme has dovetailed a level 2 qualification with the advanced technology of the company and the work the learners conduct at their Service Centres. The 10 successful graduates have also achieved level 3 awards in Refrigerant Handling and High Voltage Vehicles.

The success of these first candidates is a testament to the hard work of the whole EMTEC team and the candidates themselves”
