  • Flexible retirement

NEST

We know that pensions aren’t always a priority for people. There are always other things to pay for and it’s not always easy to put money aside for the future.

However, putting away even small amounts can make a difference to what you get in retirement. You may find that once you get into the habit of saving it’s easier than you think. As a member of NEST you can also stop contributing if you need to and start contributing again later.

TPS

As you’re entering teaching for the first time, it goes without saying you’ve got a lot on your plate. And with retirement seeming so far away, you can be forgiven for not putting your pension at the top of your ‘to do’ list. But if this is the case, we’d invite you to stop for a second and think about it.

As a member of the Teachers’ Pension Scheme, you’ll be paying into your pension from your very first pay cheque and your employer will be paying in too.
