Course outline

This short course will teach you the sewing basics you need to know to make cute, comfortable clothing for babies.

Whether you are welcoming a new addition to the family or want to develop practical sewing skills, this course will teach you the sewing machine skills you need to create simple, adorable items.

You will learn the basics of sewing and also learn how to put a pdf pattern together.

These simple projects are practical and fun and require very little in terms of fabric or equipment so are perfect for those who are new to sewing. You will experiment with attaching poppers and Velcro.

On this course you will make two items of clothing, romper and dress and also accessories.

This course is ideal for anyone expecting a new addition to the family who would like to create items of baby clothing made with love.

You can use the skills learnt to develop a fun, creative hobby or for professional development. This course could be a step in your progression onto more challenging projects such as larger clothing items.

For this course you would need to bring any fabric that you would like to use to make your garments and a basic sewing pack of scissors, pins, tape measure and unpicker.
