Nottingham College is one of the largest colleges in the country with hundreds of students choosing to study a wide variety of degree-level courses with us.

We offer flexible ways of learning on a full or part-time basis with Foundation Degrees, BA (Hons) Top-ups, and HNC / HND programmes available in over 16 subject areas.   • HNC courses typically last 1 year (studying full time) and is considered the first year of university
  • The typical duration for studying a HNC course part time is 2 years

Why should I study a HNC?

  • A HNC course is a vocational qualification meaning the skills acquired will be used throughout your future career
  • Completing a HNC will give you a level 4 qualification, which allows progression on to level 5 and 6 qualifications such as a full bachelors degree
  • HNCs are flexible, with part-time options allowing study alongside a job
