News: Catering and hospitality students inspire diners with Veganuary menu.
Our catering and hospitality students inspired diners with a five-course vegan menu at our Fletchers Restaurant last week. The menu, to mark Veganuary, was one of the many themed events held at our restaurant every term.
Fletchers is our fully operational commercial restaurant that is staffed by our students who are being trained by industry professionals. Open to the public, the restaurant offers learners the opportunity to gain real, hands-on industry experience with paying customers.
Currently boasting excellent Trip Advisor reviews, Fletchers offers fine dining at an affordable price with a range of three course lunch and dinner menus, plus themed evenings, and special events, all of which are regular sell-outs.
Our Veganuary event was a roaring success with the restaurant full of diners who all thoroughly enjoyed the menu. With society moving more towards a plant-based diet, vegan offerings are becoming a staple in the hospitality sector. It’s important our learners are able to stay up-to-date with industry trends and holding regular themed events gives our students valuable experience which parallels a working environment, so they are ready to work in their chosen sectors in the future.
