Course introduction

This course is a great choice if you are ready to start your career in the beauty industry and have a passion for making people feel pampered and good about themselves.

It is ideal for anyone want to e-filing to their application and removal of artificial nails.

You will learn:

  • Communication and consultation techniques
  • Contra-indications to E-filing
  • Health, safety and hygiene
  • Nail preparation.
  • Completing a E-filing treatment
  • Homecare and after care

You can expect a dedicated team of lecturers who still work in the industry, so have up to date skills and experience. This course will be a hands-on learning experience to ensure you get a solid grounding in the main application of using an e-file.

Practical skills will be assessed when carrying out an artificial nail removal using an e-file on a model and completion of an end of unit test which will be graded pass or refer. (Please note you need to provide your own model).

You must have:

  • An artificial nail qualification
  • Good communication skills
  • Keen interest in nail treatments
  • Good dexterity (hand/ eye coordination)
  • A informal chat with tutor
  • Completion of E- filing treatment to remove artificial structure
  • Multiple choice end of unit test

Other short courses such as spray tanning, lash lifting and brow definition.

Please note you need to provide your own client that has artificial structures that need to be removed.

Please ensure that you are wearing all black e.g. black trousers or leggings and plain black t-shirt or tunic.

You may be required to purchase a kit to complete this course. Information will be provided on application.
